Robert Stark is th e Managing Member at Melville Capital in New York. Rob oversees the implementation of the Firm's operational strategies including Policy Pricing, closing, compliance and licensing. All of Melville's Case Managers, handling cases from application through change of ownership, report to Rob. Rob has been involved with finance, lending and life insurance for over 12 years. He is a licensed Life Agent in numerous states.

Rob earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland at College Park, and his Master of Business Administration from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Doug Himmel is the Managing Director at Melville Capital in Los Angeles. Doug oversees the Firm's Business Development, Marketing and PR focus. Through overseeing Melville Capital's marketing efforts to individuals, companies and their advisors, Doug has focused on helping to change policy owners' view of life insurance as a saleable asset and not just an expense.

Doug has been involved with finance, lending and life insurance for over 15 years. He holds his series 7 and 63 licenses and can transact in VUL policies. He is also a licensed Life Agent in numerous states.

Doug earned a B.A. in Political Science and Finance from the University of Arizona.

Amy Gavartin is the Director of Advanced Markets for Melville Capital. Amy brings more than 15 years of experience and expertise in the Life Insurance Marketplace and related financial services to Melville Capital. The Advanced Markets practice advises clients on such alternative financing strategies as Private Split Dollar, Private Premium Finance and Commercial Premium Finance, and allows policy owners to finance insurance premiums in ways that deliver the most tax-efficient results at the lowest possible cost.

Currently, Amy's main focus is assisting referral partner's and their clients, both corporations and individuals, in analyzing existing life insurance contracts, implementing advanced planning strategies, developing the proper exit strategies and when applicable, receiving the highest bid from Institutional Investors for unwanted or unneeded Life Insurance policies. Amy also works with tertiary trades. Her extensive global network of professionals allows her to consistently collaborate and create synergy for successful transactions.

Additionally, Amy Vice Chair for the Mountain/Desert Network of IWIRC (International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation), Vice Director of Networks for IWIRC, former board member of WIFS, and proud member of NAIFA, WIFS, IWIRC, TMA, and ABI. Amy enjoys cooking, gardening, knitting, dancing and spending quality time her two children and husband. She and her family reside in Phoenix, AZ.

Brad Strickland joined Melville Capital in 2005 and is responsible for policy acquisition and new business development for the East Region.

Brad has worked in financial services for over 16 years. Prior to joining Melville Capital, he was a Vice President at Bank of America in their Corporate Banking Group where he helped provide complex lending solutions to middle market companies in the southeast. Prior thereto, he spent seven years at GE Capital in NYC & CT working as an underwriter and portfolio manager as well as a loan originator for the Corporate Lending Group. While at GE, he had the opportunity to work on a wide array of corporate transactions including M&A, Private Equity, Recapitalizations, MBO’s and Bankruptcy & Restructuring Scenarios.

Brad holds an M.B.A in Finance and International Management from The Stern School of Business at New York University and a B.S. in Finance from Boston College. Brad is a licensed Life Agent in multiple states and is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Turnaround Management Association and Financial Planners Association.

Brad co-hosts the Money Matters Radio Show serving the greater Charleston, SC Market where they provide knowledge and guidance on senior market financial products.
